    engine to hoist

Allright, newbie question here. How do you attach the hoist to the engine block.
Brackets? (that ive yet to find)
    A lift plate?
    Bolt chains to the block?

I have a leveler for my hoist.

    Thanks,
    Jesse

i like to pull them with the heads on. Use the Accessory holes in the heads. So with chain and bolts.

i bolted the chain to an accessory hole on the back of the passenger-side head & hooked the hook to an alternator bolt

Leveler's are usually junk and make it more work. Just bolt a chain on and get to work.

I just pulled my first engine the other day. bought 4 foot of chain at the hardware store and used the accessory bolts in the heads.
