you can try to start with trans-dapt motor mount's see if they make a kit. Do you have in tank or in line fuel pump? you will need in tank have to find ford sending unit that will match the pump, I dont even know where to start with exhaust. *L* I am afraid you are gonna run into alot of problems. Would have to have bigger radiator, tansmission cooler, will have to have drive shaft cut, or have a new one built $$$ . Um.. man the list goes on and on. also I do not think any of your Ford guages would work with the LS1,. That is my .02 Guess really it depends on how much you want to spend, anything can be done with the right amount of cash.

well i scatched the 5.3 idea found a 6.0, wiring, computer and 4l80 for a decent price not really worried about the gauges for now ill prolly get the 5.0 swap radiator and a couple of electric fans i know i prolly have to cut the frame to clear the manifolds but thats ok as for the fuel pump i was thinkin about goin with an inline so i can keep my sending unit my friends uncle is puttin ls3s in 60 model cars ill prolly have him help with the gauges later on down the line

just wondering if there is anything in the computer that wont let it run with the oil pressure sending unit not hooked up? i figure just for now id run a temp sensor in the passenger head and run a mechanical gauge for oil pressure

Do it. The best mod you can do to a blue oval is put a bow tie under the hood.

I did not know that, i bought an in tank pump that will fit the 87 sending unit but supply proper PSI. Good to know though thanks for the info. I might pick one up just so if the intank pump goes out i can pull it out and toss it run inline.

IIRC the PCM does not need a oil pressure signal to run BUT if your motor has the oil cooler block off plate then you should just tap it for whatever oil pressure sending unit you want. Then you can leave the stock 6.0 oil pressure sending unit in place. Just a tip cause thats what I'm doin.

Yeah, the oil pressure isn't really needed but its nice to have so you can see what the pressure is running at with a scan tool to compare to any other gauge.
