yeah that is BS. the manager is a pu$$y, i think his name is gus. if you buy from there and install yourself check it before you leave the store, because the same day they installed my speakers i bought an amp so i can install later, i checked it and it was a display model it was missing the screws to batt, ground, and turn on lead.

for the record if someone says that the steering wheel controls will work....most fo the time they are lying...in all the systems ive installed..ive done the controls harness...and for some reason only 25% of all the installs actually worked...come to think bout it...alot work with the fords...lil with the chevys and dodges...some of the installs are a pain in the a$$ to do...so maybe they just didnt do it...

I went to the San Pedro store and spoke with Gus - what a complete tool. He tried to sell me a head unit for $100 more than it is listed on their website for, Speakers for 4 times more than I could find them online for.

I asked him for an itemized quote and he just wrote $750 down on the back of his card, without telling me how much installation was, how much the kits were - I asked for the model numbers or names of the equipment he was trying to sell me and he could not provide them.

In my book this guy is a total scammer and shouldnt be allowed to treat potential customers so crappy. He was an a_s from the second I walked in and its not like i don't have money, i do, and i pay for quality and am not a difficult customer.

Ironically I bought a 6 disc changer from this same location in 1998 and had it installed- and I was extremely pleased with that transaction- I think it's Gus that's the problem- he's a tool.

Sounds like the installers are letting customers pay for equipment and putting in used crap and taking the new stuff home. You should try to contact the OWNER of the store and let him know his manager is running the business into the ground.
