    5.3 ho valve springs ?

    What springs do the L33 come with ? I have a set of 1.8 rockers but want to be sure the springs are OK to use with them ?

    I would upgrade them just to be safe especially if you plan to go with a bigger cam later on. Some yellow Z06 springs would be a low cost option or you could go for some Patriot dual golds which will handle up to .650. I think those rockers would put your lift in the .521 range from the stock .492 that comes in the L33.

    The valvetrain specs on the L33 heads (799) are slightly better than on the 862/706 heads, but if going to a higher ratio rocker arm, then I would go with a better spring--as Jay mentioned.

    Ok thanks I was'nt sure I have had people try to tell me they come with the yellow springs because they are the same as 243 heads ? My next question is will I have enough piston to valve clearane with the .521 lift ?

    No yellow springs on the stock heads. Yes, they have the same cast as the 243s, but they do not have the same type of valves and springs that the Z06 heads do...

    Yes, .521 lift is waaaaaaay safe on PTV.

    Just wondering--why only a .521 lift cam?

    He's keeping the stock cam but the rockers make it .521 lift.
