American Racing makes them an im sure more do.

i bought an LS2 car TB 90mm correct? its a lil bigger than my stock
    TB.

itll be a stock truck intake with my TB an CAI.

i just dont want to keep swapping cams..they get costly after a while even if you do the work yourself.

been doing some reading on LS1Tech.com
the L92 6.2 has 10:5:1 compression is that right?

if so then i dont want to mill the heads.

also the 6.2 has VVT not DO correct? im being told it has the DOD lifters but i dont recall ever reading that the VVT 6.2 has DOD.

also im being recommended a cam in the 224 to 230 range with a .600 lift on a 112lsa

I personally like the Lunati cam. Not only cause it creates the highest HP numbers, but because it does so with less than .600 lift. That makes things slightly easier on the valve train, doesn't require the more expensive valve springs that support higher lift numbers, doesn't require cam lobes that look like a dunce cap, etc. So many advantages.

And this was done on a 115 LSA. Just imagine what the power curve would look like (and gain in TQ numbers @ 3000 RPM) if it was ground on a 112+3 LSA???? And even at that, it has over 12* of overlap--which would make it sound pretty decent.

This also confirms my secret knowledge of good cam specs for these motors.

I would take out the VVT in the tune and scrap the lifters. No DOD for your application. For your performance goals, go after the Caddy lifters, IMO.

And your recommended cam specs are pretty good, but you can do better. I wouldn't mind seeing something in the mid to high 23X range for duration and mid to high .59X lift. All on a 112 LSA with a 109-110 ICL.

i want to run Patriot Extremes like i have in my other 5.3 better to be safe than sorry imo.

im being spec'd a cam in the 22x/23x .6xx.6xx 1xx+4 thats the pm
i got lol. im going to have to do a lil more research..i want 450rwhp. i just dont want to go with a looser than 3400

Are you planning to use Thunder Racing's VVT cam phaser limiter kit?

    hmmm i was told somewhere around a 224/230 .590.595 112+3
also was looking at my friends monster cam...
    230/242 .600.600 110lsa he put down 458rwhp with 11:5:1 compression, same headers, 3600 stall, 3:73, 87mm TB, CAI

so i was thinking something like this(im not a cam guy...just thinking)
    228/234 .595.595 112+4

honestly i would ditch the stock heavy ass L92 valves for some sodium filled Ls3 ones or some aftermarkets. the stock valves require more seat pressure then the LS3s especially with big cams.

with the flow of those heads youll need 1 7/8 to see any real gains of that motor. 1 3/4 just way to small for 333cfm stock

373 isnt enough gear for even a stock truck rather alone a modded one

3400 stall is to small IMHO for any rear cam

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference
