    blew the tranny

Well it finally happened today out of the blue, the tranny let me down. To be honest it has lasted longer than I thought it would. I was crusing down the road in the median then pulled into traffic and all the sudden, pop, pop, pop, then no power. My tranny guy thinks I broke the input shaft or drum because there is no gears at all. So I am gonna go ahead and build it right and be done with it. All suggestions are welcome and much appreciated. Thanks Nick

Jim (Parish's truck) had the 80E with just a shift kit mod and he was running 10's and it held up for the longest under 750+ hp.

well considering its gonna cost me about 1500 to get the 60e built rock solid I think I might be better off just getting a rebuilt or low milliage 80e and do the swap. probally end up spending close to the same?

i wouldnt go back with a 60. from what i hear a 80e can hold some serious power stock.and yea,i think itll end up being about the same.maybe alittle more for the 80 but worth it imo.
