    Limited-Slip Options

    I'm looking to upgrade my factory G80. I had in mind an Eaton True Trac but Thunder Racing recommended a Moser differential because it either doesn't require the special bearings or comes with them (can't remember??). The local shop around here suggested an Auburn Carrier and they have one in stock for $390. I'm just looking to get some input on what would be my best bet to withstand a high horsepower application.

    Tru Trac has show to be the strongest on this site and probably will come out to be advised more. I run a Eaton posi and it is pretty well equal to the auburn from ratings I've see. Both are pretty good.

    +1 on the Detroit TrueTrac. Get one from Ron's. You should also get a Master Install Kit for the GM 8.6 10 Bolt.

    i like the true trac...i have had both Auburn and True Trac and i replaced the Auburn after a month cause i blew it up just like the g80...pissed me off cause it took everything out...Havent had any problems with the True Trac at all

    Thanks guys, I'll stick with the True Trac! And Ron's has some pretty good prices too!
