    relay question

Finally built a fire in my 6.0 swap this evening. Its in an 86 military 1 ton 4x4 chevy. I have a couple electrical problems though. My fuel pump relay will not work properly. If i use a jumper wire from the battery it works fine but if I use the feed from the computer it does not work. When I put the volt meter on there it shows about three volts? I have the same problem with my solenoid that i wired all the computer feeds to. It works fine if I use a jumper wire from the battery but if I use a 12+keyed from the truck wiring harness it does the same thing. Shows 3 volts hooked up 12 unhooked. What am i doing wrong? 30 constant 12+,85 ground,86 fuel pump signal,87 fuel pump feed

    Red Connector C2: or GREEN

Pin 9 - Dk Green/White - Fuel Pump Relay Control - This wire the PCM supplies 12v+ to control a relay for fuel pump. PCM will turn on the fuel pump for 2 seconds at initial key on. When the engine cranks or starts, the fuel pump will then continue to run, untill the engine stops, or you shut off the key.

    This is from lt1swap.com
I have 12 volts on this wire until I hook it to the relay?

    From LS1TECH...

    Fuel relay
Terminal 85 connect to PCM Red 9 - Dark Green/White
Terminal 30 Connect to fuel pump 12V input
    Terminal 86 Connect to Ground - black/white
Terminal 87 Connect to Switched 12V Power Supply

Do you have a bad relay or possibly a bad ground location?

Going to check my grounds this afternoon. That is probably my problem since my solenoid for the other stuff is doing the same thing.
