5.3 to 6.0 swap help and opinions.....

Ok i did a 4.3 to 5.3 swap alittle over a month ago....... Not really satisfied so i want alittle more motor. I was gonna go to a 6.0 to begin with but thought tranny was gonna last very long. well tranny went out two weeks after 5.3 swap and tr220 cam.

Anyway, what else is needed to go from a 5.3 to a 6.0? My tuner said he can change the file on computer to a 6.0 so i'm not worried about that. Is it basically a take out and drop in one day thing?

Also i guess i can use either a LQ4 or LQ9, right? I'm planning on finding another motor in the next few months then start building it. Hopefully have it in the middle of summer. What are some good flowing heads? also need a intake that'll match up to heads and work with DBC Tb....

    any help appreciated..... thanks

TBSS intake (or any 87-90 mm intake for that matter) and 243/799 heads would work well for you.

LQ4 6.0 with 243s will net you a 10:3:1 compression with stock head gaskets. id run 243/799 (exact same flowing head just different cast number. if you get Corvette 24:s you'll have yellow valve springs an sodium filled valves) heads with a NNBS intake an a DBC 90mm TB (the intake is 90mm just like the TBSS intake) id run a 220 or maybe a 224 cam. pacesetter LTs or if the cash is there grab a set of ARH they are 1 7/8" headers vs the 1 3/4" pacesetter LTs. what converter ar you running? 3000/3200 would be awsome!
    i wish i woulda went with a 6.0 vs my 5.3

alright thanks, yea i was thinking of getting a split can maybe 220/224 or something of that nature. I'm sure i can find set of 243s on corvette forum.
I'm going to get Circle D to build a TB Converter 3000stall when i get some more money together.

i was'nt doing to bad last night for being untuned with 24lb injectors.... ran my buddy's z28 with magnaflow catback, lid, and pulley. I was about two cars behind
