The SR's have come out since I stepped away from car audio. I know my two SX 12s on the KX2500.1 hit about like my DD does... except without the SQ.

I hate to say it, butthe only way you are going to get hatchback/suv sound is by cutting the bed. No one ever understands that when it comes to sound in trucks that some things need to be sacrificed. It sucked losing 2' of my bed but I had a truck that was just as loud as any Tahoe with the same artillery.

Honestly, a tried and proven sub for sealed or small ported enclosures is the Resonant Engineering RE sub (they have a mounting depth of under 6" for a 12), or if you want to be a guinea pig, RE has a new shallow mount called the SL. They call for 350 watts RMS and have a mounting depth of 3.5".

I haven't ever seen or heard anyone be dissatisfied with RE. I know they were bought out a while back by US Amps (also a good quality company) but still retain their designs. They can be expensive now that they aren't privately owned anymore.

Discount Car Audio, Cheap Online Stereo, CD Players, Amplifiers, Speakers, Subwoofers and more at MobileSoundWorks!

Looks like they are right around your price range on that site, but that is the only site I looked into. You may find it cheaper. Good luck and let me know if I can help you with anything.
RE has severly changed since Scott owned it...........I'll leave it at that. Some, and I mean 'some' of the woofers are still good and hand built on the west coast, some are not. Want the good RE, get an Fi.
IMHO, USAmps has, ah, changed over the years.

You know I've been out of the loop for a while. But true, if you want RE, skip it and go Fi. They had just sold out RE when I was getting out of the hobby.

Yep, my Scott Atwell built both from ground up, USAmps forgot to have Scott sign a non-competitive contract, so he opened Fi. I'll see him and Dave from RE next week in vegas....
