Newb looking for RCSB info

Hello everyone.

I'm in the market for a 99+ RCSB GMC. I found this website about a year ago and just have been lurking ever since.

I had a few questions about the RCSB trucks.

Is there any electrical changes between the 99-02 ranges. Are any years better than others?

What engine choices were available in RCSB pickups?

I'm particularly looking for a Z71 package 4x4. Are all color options available on all pickup types also? I've seen a dark green color but it's got a nice pop to it, not really bland like most dark greens, but I've only seen it on a longbed. I'm hoping to find a shortbed with that color. Any links to all of the available factory color options?

1) No major changes.
2) 4.8 or 5.3 in a RCSB
3) All color options available to my knowledge. Green was fairly rare.

So the 4.3L was not available on an RCSB?

Also, where they all automatics then, as I've read that the 4.8 and 5.3 only come with the 4L60E transmission.

Any recommendations on a good place to find a pickup? I've been looking through local classifieds, autotrader, craigslist, etc. There are hardly any trucks that aren't longbed or extended cab.

Sorry, yes the 4.3 was available, but I thought you meant v8s. The 4.3 came with the 4l60e as well. I really have no valuable info on where to look. You might try the classified here and some other sites like PT.net, GMFS.com, and a few others.
