    v6 4l60e/6.0 th400 swap. Need help.

Im trying to make sure I get the right motor mounts, and things like that.
Motor mounts. Which ones do I need? The th400 and pglide I have are about 2-3 inches shorter than my 4l60e.

I know in that thread it says to find v8 mounts, and swap them with the v6 mounts, then use the plate. Is there another way? I also wanna keep the motor as low and close to the firewall as possible.
Also I have asked around, and am unsure of which flexplate to use.
Since I have the longer snouted crank on the 6.0 And the stall was made to match. Some have said the v6 flexplate might work. Others said I need either the flat or dished flexplate. Anyone have a clue?

number 2 above or the ones below. the ones below look to be the best bet. looks like you can put them where ever. the ONLY draw back i see is no rubber bushing so vibrations will be rough. but if its a race vehicle who cares right?

EDIT: hey guys i just called dirty dingo (really helpfull guy) those mounts wont work with pickups but he is going to try and find a local to him truck (73-87) to make some with. he said he can make them to put the motor where ever you want.

call hooker and ask what mounts were used when making the headers. then either buy those mounts or make a copy of them.

you should need the flat flex plate. if the v6 flexplate is flat then your golden, just might need to redrill it. if not then pick up a 4l80e flexplate, they are the flat ones and should be what your converter was built to fit.

    hope that helps
