I thought using the 98 sending unit was the preferred method. I guess I will have to use my trucks original sending unit.

The last conversion I did, I put the stock water temp sensor in the water pump behind the factory tensioner.![]()

I just took the plug out of the passenger side head and put in another sensor and ran one to the OBS harness and the other to give signal to the OBDII computer. If you wanted, use OBS sensor with adapter in passenger side head. Saves R&R and machining the water pump.
