Throttle and detent cables for obs ls swap?

I've been doing a bunch of reading here and I know what I need to physically get the engine in there and hooked up but what are some of the little things needed? Kick down cables, throttle cables, etc. Can the stock stuff be used or modified to work?

Just trying to get my plan set before I begin a swap. Thanks.

I imagine a computer might do the trick. Possibly on both.

no such thing as kickdown cable in any modern trans. Even the 700r4 dont use a kickdown cable, it uses a TV cable.

I'm sorry, I wasn't really clear. I want to use a 700r4 that I already have behind a 5.3l. How can I hook up a detent cable with it? Does the throttle body have a cruise control cable hookup I could use for the detent cable? If so which cable would work or should I get a universal one like from lokar? Thanks.

For your tv cable connection you might try Welcome to Street & Peformance. They had the cheapest parts to connect it to the tb but as far as a bracket I couldnt tell ya. I do know bowtie overdrives has a kit too but kinda pricey.

Wow, Welcome to Street & Peformance is a tough website to follow.

I think I found just what I'll need on bowtieoverdrives.com. Thanks!
