Yep. Guess what the main ingredient is in a lot of engine "flush" kits are. Use like a half a quart get the engine up to temp and drain it.

the reason you dint get the smoke show you wanted is becuase you prob still have your cats. i seaformed my truck with cat on it and it bearly smoke, now with no cat it will smoke like a mother. Now your cats are clogged with that chit.

my truck smokes everytime I use seafoam. I have NEVER seen a car not smoke. Disconnect vaccuum line, stick it in can, just BARELY keep motor idling. should suck entire can in about 10 seconds. Turn motor off. Let sit 30 minutes, start up. Should smoke immediately, and get worse as you drive it. With clean motors, smoke stops in about 2 minutes, with dirty motors, i've seen the smoke last 20-30 miles. (very small amounts, but still visible)

Most auto places sell an 'oil flush' it's about 4 bucks, you add it to warm engine, let idle 5 minutes, change oil. Why risk kerosene. I know it works, but for 4 bucks, use something tested.

OR just use synthetic...it cleans everything up pretty well on it's own.

If you want to clean sludge out put 2 qts of atf in the motor, let it idle till it warms up, then drain, put a new filter on add a qt off marvel in with 5 qts of synthetic. change again in 3k

Seeing as your t/b has that much buildup on it, I would also check the maf. If that sensor is dirty as the rest of your intake system, the computer will pull all kinds of fuel out.
