    Factory 6 disc in a 99

Is there anyway to get a factory 6 disc changer to work in a 99 silverado? first of all will it fit? and second how will you wire it up? hope someone can give some input!

If you are talking about using one out of an 03+ then no it will not work without adding the digital turn on someway. It would not be worth the work or money because in my experience the factory radios from 03-07classic have been steaming piles of..... I would recommend getting a subdash, radio bezel, and lower dash from a 03-07classic pickup/suv and using pioneer's 6-disc DVD changer. This way you can add the console too if you want(just make sure you get the right lower dash for the console if you go that route. In a 99-02 you can add a console without changing the lower dash and knee bolster but this is not the case in the 03+. This way is the most expensive but it is the best looking way and requires the least cutting. You can put a double din in the factory subdash and bezel but get ready to do a ton of cutting then adjusting and cutting and adjusting then fenagling.
