    newbee from the Phoenix area

hey guys whats up? I have a 94 gmc XCSS with the advantage west conversion, truck # 2012. I currently have the reg 350TB and 4l60e. engine has a cam, head work, underdrive pulley, and FI tune. tranny has 9 pack 3-4 clutches, vette servo and converter, and an escalade 5 gear pinion set. dynoed 224hp and 338trq at the rear wheel. I plan on doing a LS1 swap, not sure if I will do the 6 speed or not. but anyways, where are all of you guys from??

Mesa here. You've definitely come to the right place for swapping an LS motor into your truck.

Truck looks pretty sweet man. It's interesting to see an SSS style bumper on an OBS truck...never seen that before.

thanks guys, yeah my biggest issue about doing the swap is getting my truck to pass emissions. I actually bought that bumper from a mesa guy. lol for the body I'm getting a ram air hood and shaving the rear steps off too.

Passing emissions shouldn't be too hard. Az is easy to get away with a lot of things. As long as there's no codes being thrown by the PCM you're good. just make sure to tell them you have an OBDII port being an older truck. They didn't start just doing the plug and read thin till like 97....not sire about that...so they may want you to run it and all that. Which makes it harder to get away with things.
