Haha thanks but no thanks. I'm just going to build a set of long tubes. Gotta love that power and tone. Have you checked out Doug thorley? I think they have a set of tri Ys for the 67-72 trucks. But I'm pretty sure these frames are also the same..

So I got the accessories on and threw on an extra set of 853's until I'm finished porting my 317's. I bring the transmission home tomorrow and get it ready for mock up. Just need to wire wheel the frame and paint it up front, cut out the old sm420 crossmember and relocate the automatic crossmember. I came up on a Hydroboost brake setup yesterday. Now does anyone know if the Duramax trucks run a Hydroboost? Im wondering if the stock power steering pump will be sufficient or not. If the Duramax uses Hydroboost they may have a better P/S pump??

Not sure about the pump but my 97 Astro van had hydraboost. It shouldn't take much of a pump.

I was just wondering because a buddy of mine has hydroboost on his 96 or 97 Saleen and when he winds it up and hits the brakes real quick it backfeeds the pump and launches his belt off.. But thats probably just because its one of those shotty blue oval pumps anyway. I would just hate to be driving and have a pump go out leaving me with no power steering or brakes.

Never heard of such a thing. I can gauranty you though that when your engine dies so does your power assist. With vacuum boost you have the last reserved amount of vacuum in the cannister to help you stop after the engine dies.

The thorleys wont fit, I have a set sitting in my garage. I went with the s&p's.
The brake booster mount? is in the way. On the 67-72 this is not there.
