    wiring question, very easy

when it comes to splicing in the few truck harness wires to the engine harness wires, do i simply cut the harness wire in half attach the truck wire? Basically T off the engine harness wire? I drew a crude picture to ensure I do it correctly, I REALLY dont want to fry anything when I hook this stuff up this weekend.

what are you putting it into? I cut the entire engine harness out and left about 12" of the original from the firewall and tied into it there in my 92 and 93 conversions. Used the wires from the drivers side by the brake master cylinder.

or even easier, use a quick splice. cheap at autozone, radioshack, etc.. and easy and safe to use

But that is the correct way to do it, correct?

It is going into my 94 ext cab K1500. I removed 90% of the underhood wiring, leaving only a couple grounds, a/c controls, and a few others. The wires I am talking about splicing into are the speedometer, brake light switch, etc etc.

Single worst thing you can ever do to any vehicle is to see one of these and buy with the intention of using it on said vehicle. Not safe, not robust, and causes more damage and HELL than its simplicity warrants. Does that answer your question? These are called scotch-locks or S*** locks.

X 2!!! Scotch-Locks are GARBAGE! Personally, I silver-soldered each of my wire connections, after using a silver coated, un-insulated crimp connector, with the proper crimping tool, which I had previously slid a piece of "epoxy" heat-shrink over.
