    Motor Mount ?

    i have an 84 shortbed with a 305/350th & will be swapping to a 5.3/4l60e what motor mount plates can i use to keep the original driveshaft. i'm thinking i need the plates to set the motor back 1". Also i'm sending out my pcm to get programmed now i know i need to get the vats and rear O2 sensors removed is it anything else besides that and the tire and gear ratio size. The engine is out of a 04 suburban

    Use or make plates that match the measurements of the pic below. I put a 5.3/4L60E in my 85 short bed with these and used the original driveshaft, and the original trans linkage hooked up with no mods other than adjusting the column to trans linkage and one slight tap on each bend of the linkage that goes between the frame and the trans. Mine will go into first gear when most everyone else says there's will not. Just need to mess with both adjustments and everything will work perfectly.
