2007 half truck motor.

A buddy of mine just piucked up a 6.0l out of a 2007 izuzu. It has a pump located between the alt. and power steering, Any idea what that is? Also is there any reason he couldnt just use a computer and harness from say an '05 siverado or something of that nature?

Post a picture. Are you sure it's not a 6.6?

It is definitely a gas motor. I'll see what we can do about pics. I guess the truck actually was a chevy (had the bow tie) but was one of those silly lookin cab over chaises bull nosed lookin deals.

Isuzu's added in a mechanical brake vacuum pump on some of the 18000 GVW applications. IIRC, they used a different ps pump and generator bracket too, but I am not 100% sure on that. Either way, you changeover to a regular FST accessory drive. And you can run a regular PCM harness, you might even be able to adapt that one, IIRC, they used the GM PCM too.
