Need a band saw

i have a delta band saw, i have cut some metal with it but not enough to say its a great metal saw, it worked very well for wood though.

But i agree if your just going for square cuts a chop saw would do just fine.

any curved cuts a band saw would be nice for.

a good band saw should cut nearly perfect cuts all the time if you use them correctly, you have to break the blade in right, make sure its tensioned correctly, and make sure your guides are good and square other than that, they are a breeze to use and super low maintenance
