    5.3 in my 2wd 77 k5

here a couple pics of my starting point. not ready to start the swap, i still need every thing xthe engine tranny and the truck. i do have the engine out though. i dont want to sit the engine and tranny in until i have the harness. would it be to much of a hassell to put the harness on after the engine is already in?

Good luck on the build and keep the updates and pics coming. Theres very useful info on this site. I did the same swap on my 79 blazer ,i now have a servo , cai , 4.10's , 22''s and a 93 nelson tune.

definitely set it in without the harness. The harness is very easy to install inside the truck plus you won't have to worry about damaging a brand new custom harness.

i'm done swapping my 454 in the c10, just waiting for my driveshaft to be done. so know i could start getting everything i need. i'm going to get the plates first thought so i can get the engine in already. hey 1 bad blazer what plates did you use, i'm planning on using the trans dapt 1'' foward so the compressor fits.

i built my own at work , made them out of tubing and angle iron . i built them with my engine mocked up so that they would not interfere with the ac compressor.
