I also seemed to lose a deal of low end power, which this truck desperately needs to get the tires rolling. I don't want redneck loud (don't need the tickets) but i wouldn't mind a little pop/crackle to it. I want it louder and to sound like it has some power behind it. Normally i'm only turning 1200 rpm (only turn 1800 at 80 b/c of tires) and this setup doesn't sound right til 2-3k.

Anyone have suggestions? I like the sound of dynomax, but they don't seem to last long. Never been a fan of magnaflow. Borla/Gibson/Corsa don't seem to be "loud" by anymeans. Was thinking maybe one of those spiral race mufflers? Glasspack would be TOO loud.

I was thinking about an electric cut-out after the Y-pipe to have it loud when I wanted on back-roads, and quieter when in neighborhoods/high traffic areas, but I'm trying to avoid redneck loud...and i would still have the problem of it being too quiet when driving around town.

...also don't want to go thru hassle of installing headers, and have emission tests, so I'm keeping cats.

    THANKS
me personally i think that the corsa's have a great exhaust note as long as its the sports muffler because at idle is got a real deep tone then when u get on it, it turns slightly raspey but not to bad then once u let off it pops a little
