Tip: sleeved flex coupler wont do that to you .............

Little pricey but keeps the above from happening.
Also keeps woven flex braid from disintegrating into your exhaust system too.

It's still boost creeping... Moved the WG to as close to the turbo as I could, put a new flex with out any internal lining and still makes 7-8 psi in 1st, jumps to 15psi and climes to 18 in 2nd, then 20+ in 3rd. You would think a 50mm gate should do the job on a 346... Here's some pics.

And here is a quick vid, don't know why the sound wont work...

It's not wategate location near turbo but its angle to exhaust stream.
You can not have it 90 degrees to exhaust flow like that.

It doesnt seem to matter until you get into these 800hp set-ups for
    whatever reason.

I watched Fastlane wrestle with this on a TT-408 they did.
Corky Bell goes thru this at length in his book with lots of good pics.

You must put the wastegate exit as parallel to main exhaust flow as possible.

I bet it would work perfect where I drew in my first picture.

A must have for the turbo builder, chocked full of good info for beginner and expert both.

Ya, I have that book, but haven't read it in a while. I would have put it on the outside of the bend going up to the turbo, but there is just no room there for it. To much crap in the way, lol.(the AC hard lines are right there, and I'm not ditching my AC for no stinkin turbo WG, LOL) I put it as close to the turbo as I could and have seen MANY kits with it 90* right before the flange, pretty much like mine is, like you said, that really isn't optimal, just where it fits the best and should have the highest back pressure there.

The big turbine on the turbo, just has too much power to spin the compressor. It needs to have more exhause vented then capable of the single 50mm WG that is dependent on back pressure to work properly. If I had gone with the smaller turbine wheel and smaller A/R, I think I would have more back pressure and could control the boost with just one WG.

I'm gonna put another 38mm WG in the cross over on the outside of the bend were it turns up to go into the back of the log. right now, it makes about 15-16psi in the top of second, but hits 20-22psi in third. Just a little too much, lol. If I can get it to maintain 17-18 I would be happy. Definitely learning a lot with this build.
