sub wiring

i got two 10" kicker cvr's and this fusion amp. Whats the best way to wire them?

you can google how to wire your subs to 1ohm 2ohms 4ohms etc.... and according to your amp you can wire them to 2ohms straight or wire them to 4ohms if your gonna bridge your amp but IMHO I wouldnt think your getting the full potential of your dual voice coil CVR's if you ohm them down to 4ohms

....but then again what do i know i sold my rockford fosgate amp that was stable at 1ohm to get money for headers

here I come to save the day.....
That particular amp is a 2 channel which means it can be bridged at 4 ohm or ran per channel at two ohm. to run bridged you need either 1- dual 2ohm sub or 2 dual4 ohm subs. if running per channel then you will need dual 4 ohm subs. ahhh the beauty of DVC subs.......here's where it gets kinda tricky.

per channel is simple + from one voice coil to the other + and from - of one voice coild to the other- straight out to the amp, repeat for the other sub

for bridged which is preferred on a 2 channel to let it run more efficiently is a little more complex.

what you want to do is run your voice coils on each sub in series which is + from one voice coil to the - of the opposite coil and connect the remaining voice coils together. from there you will wire from positive and negative of one voice coil to the second sub. you still with me? wire the second sub in series as explained before and then with the two wires(+and-) you brought from the other sub you want to wire them in to a positive and negative of a voice coil on the second sub and out to the amp where you will bridge the two wires as diagrammed on the amp.

if it is simpler to wire both subs at the amp you can do it that way but it makes for a much cleaner install if you do it the way I described. I can try and scan a drawing and post it up later tonight if you cant make sense of my instructions. Good luck and dont short out any voice coils.

but how do you wire it into the amp? would it be better to split the subs and hook into both sides of the amp?
