yeah I just think everyone needs to come to a consensus to what a street truck could be considered. Everyone has so many opinions on it things can and probably will get a little heated

we will come up with rules im sure for the required street truck info, but all we can really inforce IMO is: current and valid registration, insurance, and inspection. we cant get much more street truck than that when it really comes down to it.
    single digit street truck

    for build info

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

That's a good idea. I dont really like the whole AC thing. Another thing we can enforce is the trailor thing. Unless your coming from a specified distance. i.e. 800+ miles or something along those lines

I really like the idea guys. I really do. Look to adopt another organizations rules like Super Chevy. They state that a street car/truck, can be towed to the track, must be tagged, insured, used mufflers and run DOT approved tires for the street and then be able to make the X amount of miles cruise.

You may then, once back to the track, change tires, and remove mufflers.

    Then have different classes

King of the Street - the fastest of the fast that made the cruise

Outlaw - did or did not make the cruise but have a badass LSx truck

Then do your slower classes. Just somethin to think about. I'd love to help in any way I can. I've organzed several sucessful get togethers and used to organize atv dune drag racing.

sounds good Parker, i was going to do a little research on other events and the way the classify their vehicles. we don't have to do it the same way as the others, but a little insight could help a ton.

another thing are tires. don't want anyone getting nabbed on the 10 mile cruise for their slicks. not looking to get anyone ticketed for something that could be prevented

This is all a rough draft, you can tow it to the track, and riding along with the cruise only qualifies you to try and participate in the TOP 16.
More details as we talk about it.
Post some more suggestions, keep them coming!

What, it's over 900 now lol.
Thanks again Jay!! Every bit helps!

And the #16 Qualifier could be the biggest sandbagger... How do/would you control this as well and does it even matter
    Open to suggestions.

Sounds like we need two trophies. Nobody is eliminating anyone, the Top 16 has requirements, if you don't fit, then you don't race.

We do need to come up with something for the All out Fastest LSX powered truck.
The top 16 is meant for a certain type of truck, if the rules dictate, that doesn't mean we can't have another set of rules for Funny Car chassis trucks.

idk, but i say you go on the cruise the way you race! no changes at all! of course you can fill up with gas or change your bottle or whatever stuff like that that you would need to do. but make it a true street truck class! 100% street legal

We'll be able to change tires, most have a set for the street and a set for the track, only makes sense, plus, we don't want anyone having any issues with the law by running slicks on the hiway.

I drive my truck to work every single day of the week, 40 miles round trip. But there's no way I'm racing with my street tires and I'm sure not driving on the street with slicks.
