Getting the hood painted, a 3" body lift, and 35 or 36" tires will be it before winter

Only other performance things I'd like to do is rockers/headers, and maybe trading in programmer for a Nelson tune, but I'm worried about reliability. Don't want header leaks or anything breaking.

Have a 79 z28 I'm trying to finish building, it's getting most of the time/money for now. If that one breaks, it can go back in the garage.

    welcome to the site,

just curious, but your truck doesn't look like it has a 7 inch lift with 33's.

Like I said , it is a 2wd. The 2 wheels sit about 3 1/2 inches lower then a 4wd. So its ABOUT (just a tad bit taller) then a 4wd with a 3" body lift and same size tires.

Here's the truck the day I bought it, it's easier to see it's 7" taller now. And the tires are 285/75/16, so 32.5" is more accurate.

Welcome aboard. Rockers are pretty pricey for minimal gains - you might consider putting that money toward a cam instead. Nice truck though.

I'll keep that in mind...I just remember the problems we had with my buddies LS1 z28 after putting a cam in it. The computer was NOT happy. Took LS1speed over a month to get it tuned.

Welcome to ls1truck. Shouldn't have any troubles with a tune if you go with a cam... These trucks love them, with a good tuner...(ALLEN)
