Smile 6.0 into my 01 Suburban

i have an 01 suburban with 249k miles so im puttin together a 6.0 to swap into it.my engine is an 05 sierra 2500hd 6.0 with 80k on it.i plan on putting a zo6 cam in it and headers.im wondering if you guys think i should ad anything else before installing.maybe a throttlebody or a airflow meter.i know about the tune for sure.my buddy has a guy that tunes corvettes with a dyno and he says he will get the guy to tune my truck also.just thinkin ill probably have to pull the front driveshaft cause its only a 2 wheel dyno..lol.sorry so long winded just got the truck and im excited!!

Z06 cam is a mild cam. Good for turbos or superchargers, but just enough to feel some power over stock. Maybe try and get something just a bit bigger with a lopey LSA? Maybe a 218/224 .550/.550 112 LSA?

Try a 80mm TB or a ported stock TB.

id say just a biger cam. you can go to texas-speed.com or speedinc.com (at speed inc to select ur car just select corvette or something) theres tons of other places also if ur truck is 4wd there is no need to remove drive shaft just make sure its in 2wd. sounds like a fun swap always wanted to see a camed suburban

You can also contact NelsonPerformance, they will spec out and order you a custom ground cam for about the same money anyone else will sell you one for and he's got a lot of experience in the real world.
