    gettin my 5.3L rebuilt help?????

    i went to a local perfomance shop and to rebuild my 5.3 with a performance cam he is charging $3000 do ya think thats a good price?
    but everything in side is going to be new the new pistons and rods...
    what do ya think?

    Save your money and do a 6.0/4l80 swap.

    So the whole motor is getting rebuilt? If so thats about right.

    well just not the heads but they are going to get cleaned

    its about right for the price but there is better ways to spend the money like 6.0 80e with cam or find a used 5.3

    We just had an iron ls1 built for a guy with forged pistons and rods plus all machine work for $2100

    3000 is alot to rebuild it. you can pick up a 5.3 with very low miles for 500 easliy
    Slowest in Oklahoma...
