I'm gonna swap my 5.7l for a 6l. I was hoping to make my own motor mount adaptors, but i can't seem to find the template anywhere. I was wondering if anyone had them and could send me them or help me find them. thanks

I posted some either on this forum like 3 years ago, or on Performancetrucks.net I will look.
I tried to find it, but no luck, it's 3+ years old now. 1BADC10 had a thread on LS1Tech or PErftrucks where he chronicled his swap. Him and I were doing our swaps at about the same time (I finished first) and I know I posted some pics with dimensions. IF I can find my drawings, I'll repost.
Here are the critical dims.
LSx block bolt pattern is 111.76mm (aka 4.4") wide, and 78mm (aka 3.017") tall.
The old small block pattern is 3.48" wide x 3.1" tall. The lower bolt is directly in between the upper two bolts. Most of the flat adapter plates end up looking the pic attached. The only issue I had with this was that it puts the engine about 5/8" further forward, so that the driveshaft had to be lengthened. I ended up redoing my plates so that the engine sat 15mm further back, and I could reuse my driveshaft. I have a RCLB truck, and has the longest 1-piece driveshaft, so I didn't want to have to make it any longer.
3 years later, the truck is still running great, and I am happy with the change in setback. T

The mounts that I designed move the motor back 1'' and up 1/2''. Here are a few pics, only downfall on my design is you have to redrill a hole on the SBC pocket, and if you have a few tools no big deal. It places the motor back in the engine compartment way better than the standard mounts. In the upper pic the one on the left is the standard mount.

I think you went a little further back than I did, I drilled a different hole in the mount bracket to pick up the lower forward boss in the 5.3L block, which I think is what you did as well. If I didn't want to reuse my driveshaft without modifying it, I would have gone further rearward, there is about 1.25" room easy to go back, and it makes fitting truck exhaust manifolds and a stock 99-07 y-pipe past the frame easier (frame gets wider as you go rearward).
I didn't raise my engine any specifically because I wanted to reuse the mechanical fan too (my truck is set to tow), and my engine position puts the fan smack dab in the middle of a 88-95 V8 fan shroud. I used the 95 V8 radiator too.
If I was to do it again, and I just might this summer, I'd move the engine mounts on the crossmember rearward at least an inch, maybe further. If you make adapters like noted here, mine or DBRODS, it is very unlikely you'll get the AC to fit in the lower right position. The mount bracket needs to move rearward. IF AC is not a concern for you, disregard these comments.
