Newbie here looking for advice on what to do to my 01 Z1 Tahoe. I'm want to get the best possible horsepower w/o forced induction. Things already done....77 series K&N, catback system, hypertech programming, and tinted windows. What is recommended next w/o forced induction? Heads worth the money? Cam? F.A.S.T intake and throttle body? Headers? any recommendations? Thanks

    Standard issue answer here....
    1. put the PCM back to stock
    2. Ebay the Hypertech tuner
    3. contact Allen/Farmtruc for a real true performance tune.

If you don't believe there would be a difference, search past posts for owners that had the Hypertech and converted to a Nelson tune.

Get a set of long tube headers. Arizona Speed and Marine or Dynatech headers seem to be the best with "The Other Guys (TOG)" pulling a close second.

Don't de-screen the MAF sensor is what I keep hearing. It will mess up your PCM programming.

I don't know if you can use a FAST intake with the factory water pump from the truck engine. I think there will be interference between the throttle body and the water neck. Not sure, don't quote me about that one but a true point to ponder and research further.

Heads probably arent the best power to money ratio i would get the lt headers and the nelson tune. I personally have the tune and its the best mod by far you will love the shifts power adjustability and allen can answer any questions you have call him at 210-626-0278 or email click on any post that says farmtruc beside. Happy modding and welcome to ls1truck everybody is very helpful on here. PM me if you have any questions for directly if you want to know more about the tune.
