    hot cam

    Well i put the hot cam in my truck and i like it alot its sounds more then what it realy it is but i have notice big diffrence in it from the stock alot more pulling power sense i pull a lot with my truck thats a plus for me as far as gas milege i cant say anything there as my heads are ported and polished as far as you can take them and that hurt my mpg. Over all I thinks its a good cam for dd and u little more out of truck on the performance side to.

    06 gmc Mods: ls1 hot cam port and polished heads jet spacer pacesetter lts and ofy and flowmaster duals cold air intake and port and polished tb . 3000 stall level5 4l60e tranny,1.8 roller rockers, msd coils and wires, nelson tuned.

    Nice one... post up a video. I missed the part in your sig about PP heads and 1.8 rockers. Your actual cam specs with the rockers are

    so the hot cam kit is just valve springs and a cam? I like the sound of this. But I've got a sierra with a cold air intake a tb spacer and 373s I'm looking to get something with a bit of lope. But I can't have much downtime for head work and pushrods and valve springs. So if anyone could help me in picking out a cam. That would be nice pm me

    Dont put it in a lifted 4.8! Thats all I can say! Blew my 06 at 36k with this cam! Wasnt the cams fault though, but if I did it again I would have gone with a smaller cam and not so much of a choppy idle

    my truck is pretty much a stocker - 5.3, auto trans with 3.73's and duals - it is my daily driver - just wanting more power and of course that lope at idle - it seems like a good all around cam since i am not wanting to go all out - my ls1 cam i have right now just isn't enough
    5.3L, duals with Thrush, k&N, vette servo, 202/210 .500/.500 @ 116lsa cam

    I've had it in mine for a couple months now and I love it...it has tons of power from 3000 and up, but I still noticed an increase from 0-3000, no loss in low-end. I wanted to go with the same cam jeff did because it sounds SICK, I just didn't know how it'd run here in WI. If you want a good lope and some good power gains, then IMO go for it!

    Yea i rode in FF Jeff's truck with the ASA cam and it was a dog below 4k then bam it totally comes alive. IMO its more of a race cam than a good DD cam. I would want more torque down low...

    I would go with something like the tf 216/220(comp makes a similar cam) or a tr 220/tsp220 or the comp 220/224. hot cam isnt bad, but these would be better choices imo.
