Hey guys, I have a 1990 Chevy Truck with a 383 TBI in it right now. I was thinking about changing it for a 6.0L with a Hot Cam, Stage II LS6 Patriot heads, and maybe a LS2 intake to pump out about 500+ fwhp . I know I need motor mounts, computer plus harness, 97/98 corvette fuel rails. Considering its a 6.0L, I will already have the truck oil pan. Would a camaro/corvette guage panel work with this computer system? Am I missing anything for the engine? How expensive is just the swap without all of the add-ons that I want to do for performance? Thanks for the comments.

The LS6 intake makes more power than the LS2 intake so save your money there. The earlier fuel rails are not a most but help supply cooler fuel. You can use your factory guages instead of hacking up your dash to put the other dash in. Budget about $5000 for the conversion, at least.

Yea, that's what I was thinking but I read where I need the 97/98 corvette fuel rails becuase it had a return line for the reason that the TBI has a return line. Well, I hate the stock gauges in there because the MPH stops at 85 so I was thinking about those gauges or some Auto Meter gauges. Thanks for the input.

Use a corvette fuel filter with a built in fuel pressure regulator in the filter. You have two lines coming from the tank, run them to the corvette filter and then one line runs to the front of the truck when you use a single feed fuel rail. I simply cut the factory lines back where the original filter was and used rubber fuel injection hose to connect the fuel filter inline. You can buy fuel line connectors at most any auto parts store. The return line type early fuel rails would be better for performance since you keep better fuel pressure and cooler fuel.
