    ls1 swap into 02 silverado?

im putting a 2004 GTO engine in my 2002 silverado with a 4.8L.

the i bought the motor and trans ie t-56 6 speed and my truck has an automatic, my question is. what do i need to do to make the wiring harness thats on the 5.7L and the six speed work in my truck. im new to this ls1 stuff.
it appears that the gto harness will work but not sure about the six speed part.
    HELP

SORRY I DID NOT SAY, IM NOT USING THE SIX SPEED.. THE MOTOR AND TRANS I GOT HAS THE SIX SPEED ON IT AND THE WIRING HARNESS... I WANT TO USE THE MOTOR AND WIRING HARNESS ONLY... IN MY TRUCK WITH THE AUTO

Sounds like a good question for the PCM/Engine swap guru Allen Nelson aka Farmtruc. Send him a PM or call NelsonPerformance and they can lead you down the right path. I believe you can just swap your truck harness, intake, accessories, oil pan and other goodies over to make it work. I don't think the 04 GTO had the 52x reluctor wheel so you should be good to use the truck PCM to run that engine.

the motor goes right in, just need to use everything you see on the 4.8. the wiring harness on the 4.8 now will work fine for the 5.7.

now for the 6 speed to work with that harness. you have two ways. the right way is go thru harness and find proper wires for the Neutral saftey switch, reverse lights and the speed sensor is already there just plug it in.

also you will need to have the tune adjusted for the Fbody tables for the speedo. my truck is 6speed and i did the wiring on it. if you go over on Pt.net a few years back i did the wiring pin outs on what wires are needed and not needed anymore. its pretty straight forwrad.

you need all 5speed stuff as for pedals, master and xmember. for trans you need the slave, clutch and of course from th t56. simple swap but i hate my swap at times

it may be fun to row through the gears but I would never swap a daily driver 60/65e for a 5 or 6 speed. I like the comfort of an automatic in stop and go traffic. Sit in S&G traffic for an hour and you'll be kicking yourself for doing the swap.

with the LS7 clutch its a lightweight easy clutch ot use. GM designed this clutch for everyday but has holding ablity like none other. i hate my Ram clutch, stiffer then a big rig ive driven. its a fun swap but i dont like it for my turbo build

I thought he wasn't using the manual.....?

I would say you might need different injector connectors and to change the length of some of the harness wire to reach stuff in different places.

    What did I miss guys?
