    Ya, you're about right.

No Flex about a 24lb'er, with flex about 33lb'er.

Here's a situation I ran into with Mic's tahoe, might happen to one of you.

We removed the AFM mechanicals during the TVS1900 install, we retro fitted it back to the '05 days, meaning we removed the lifters and replaced them with standard, remove the valley pan and replaced it with an '05 GTO (I believe) then I turned off AFM in the PCM. Of course the connectors weren't plugged in because no more recieving side.

Here's the tricky part, I could not get this Tahoe started until I flashed the PCM with a non-AFM calibration.

I'm not sure if it was because the PCM still wanted to see AFM connected or what.

    just an fyi,
    allen

ya, btw mic, you have a 4.8L tune in your 5.3L tahoe, lol.

I have decided to convert this engine to the older style. I have a lead on an '05 (I think) 5.3 that I can pull parts off of. I know I want the PCM, harness, injectors, rails, throttle body and ????? What else do I need to make the headache go away?

Sorry to highjack but I have an injector question as well.

Anyone know a comprehensive reference for part numbers and their flow rates? I have a few sets of non-truck injectors with plugs that might be useful to someone else if they are adaptable and flow enough.

    Thanks.

Anybody have any info on this? Do I need the knock sensors or any other sensors? I should be able to pull all the parts from the donor. I just want to make sure "My Plan" will work.

if your pulling it apart you might as well replace the 4 afm lifters with 4 standard ones.
