Will that throttle cable work when putting a 6L (LS1 based) engine into an OBS GM pickup? Specifically, a 1995 Chevy extended cab.

    Thanks.

Nice looking cable. I used a camaro throttle cable on my LS1 conversion. I'll get you the PN off of it tomorrow if that helps.

Thanks, if that's cheaper then I'll just use it. I don't really need the fancy stainless cable. As long as it's clean, the stock stuff looks just fine.

After a little investigation, that's a pretty good price for the cable. Here's the details of the cable I bought from GMPARTSDIRECT.COM. You can probably get it from your local dealer for pretty close to $30.00. It has a lot of extra cable length so that you can route it how you want it. You could also use a factory '99-'01 cable from a Silverado. I don't have a newer model, '92 here, but I think they went to electronic throttle body in the newer years. Someone step in here if I am wrong.

The part number for a Camaro throttle cables are....

    98-99 12565559
    00-02 12565560

I had to file the plastic square to fit the hole in the firewall.

Sorry guys, had the wrong PN listed in the post originally.

Hey Greg, thanks for the info. Do you have AOL instant messenger or ICQ or anything like that? I have lots of little questions you might be able to help me with. Thanks again.

I check my PMs here more than anywhere else or you can email me at RedHeartbeat@GMail.com. I learn alot here plus try to help out as much as I can. I have lots of tech manuals and parts catalogs for f-body cars I can research LS1 info when needed for verification.
