    ls motor in 82 c10

    does anyone know where i can get ls engine conversion motor mounts for my 82 c10, ive looked on ebay and i cant find any. i want to swap the old 350 for a gen3 5.3L

    thanks man i found them. there two types a universal and a 1" set back which one can i use my stock driveshaft with.

    depends on your tranny...
    I bought the carshopinc ls1 plates
    I had a th350 in my truck, dropped in a 6.0/4l80e, had to move my crossmember to the rear holes, but driveshaft fit perfect.
    It's a tossup.

    drive shafts arnt a big deal there are plenty of places around to get one made. I got mine form a 4x4 shop in longview texas

    Im using Trans dapt stock location plates on mine. Dont remeber if I had to move the cross member or not but im using the stock drive shaft. Moving the cross member isnt too hard. Be prepared to beef up your rear suspension because i have bent and broken the leaf spring perches on the axle. Might have something to do with the leafs being under the axle though.

    good news i found a 5.3L for the c10 but i want to get more info on the motor first.
    1982 c10 lsx swaped, NP tuned, true duals, 4:11s, trutrac, e-fans, CAI
