Not sure about the lift. The front diff does have to come out to swap gears. Lots of special tools.
-
....really a lot of special tools?.....i might take to the gm dealership to get done, ruff cost on labor on doing the front swap?
-
If you pull it I would do it myself for about $100 labor to swap all 4 bearings and both gears as well as reseal the case....on the side + parts. Expect $400 labor retail through the front door...if that dealer accepts bench work.
-
well see you live all the way in texas so the shipping and the time would probally cost around 400 by the end, lol.
-
You asked for an example....and work is slow.
-
i totally understand man, i have a lot of friend that have been hurt by it, pm me your address, and i will see how much shipping is, and how long it would take to get to you, how long would it take you to finish and turn around and ship?
-
If it's farther than you can drive in a couple hours then it's probably not the best choice. I'm about 60 miles north of Dallas on I-35 in the 76240 if you really want to check.
-
lol i live all the way on the east coast.
-
You're money ahead finding someone there.
-
ya, i have a few buddies that work at the gm dealership, and i really don't trust most of the people that work there.....lol.
