I was @ my local Auto Zone getting prices on a K&N air intake and they told me about a newer brand called Spectre. They are about $125.00 cheaper and shows the same performance gains as the K&N. Any opinions or reviews? The Spectre model # is 9900

2010 Silverado ECSB LS 4x4. Only mods so far are a K&N drop in filter and a Rough Country 2" front level kit
I am skeptical of their filters but their tubing is well done. They also sell parts of their intake for custom builds. Try it out and if you are not happy, talk to them about returning it. Another fun fact, if you are military K&N will give you a ridiculous discount. You will pay like 200 shipped.

Spectre is pretty much an Autozone brand. I hear their filters also do not flow as well as K&N or AEMs and the piping is crappy. Id just go ahead and buy a real intake like a K&N, Injen, Outlaw, Volant, AEM or someting like that. Or if you didnt want to spend too much money just do a Tru-flow air lid and Tru-flow filter.
