they call it a 8.6" ring gear but its the same gear that the 8.5" gear trucks run.

It's 8 5/8" (8.6") but a lot of the parts interchange.
If you are unsure of what gears you have now, look in the glove box and you will see a list of codes, more like a spread sheet. I think the G80 is 3.73. If you are not gonna change your rims or tires, 4.10 are fine. 4.56 if you are gonna change them.

Actually the G80 code is for the factory limited slip. If you do have the G80 I would highly suggest that you replace it with a true trac or similar limited slip as I've seen countless threads about people breaking theirs.Originally Posted by cjriojas
As far as the Gear codes it should say something like GT4, GU4, GT5, or similar. I forget which one translates to which gear ratio but you should be able to find it with a simple search on here or even google.
My bad about the G80 her ya go.
GU4 = 3.08
GU6 = 3.42
GT4 = 3.73
GT5 = 4.10
