Thread: 82 C10 to 6.0 swap.

    82 C10 to 6.0 swap.

    Alright well i already started posting this in the Newb introdction forum. But i guess this is a better place for it

    The truck



    and the engine



    well i got the harness off and getting it sent off tomorrow.

    I do have a question though
    Which vaccume like to i cap off the one on the intake or the one on the dbc throttle body. I ask cause one has to go due to interferance.

    Nice base to start with! Need to get rid of the monster truck look though.

    get a grill that still has a bowtie and some nice 18" rims. a mild drop, and paint it black...

    I would leave the one on the intake and cap the one on the TB. You might be able to remove it then tap and plug the hole in the throttle body.

    Ok coo thats what i was leaning toward but wasnt sure.

    Thanks for the other suggestions.

    The truck will be getting a drop and some rims. I just wanted to start with the motor first. No need to look bad ass when it can only sit in the drive way LOL.
    Drip rails are staying, as this will be a dailydriver, im sure it will see rain eventually and i hate to get a bath stepping out the truck. The big rear view mirrors will be 86ed though. Going to paint it the 08 dark grey......the tech name escapes me right now.

    oh yea, that color should look sick. maybe just paint the drip rails though, so they don't stand out. should be a really nice truck... gotta love the classic body style.
