Your NV3500 should be able to handle up to about 300 hp before things start to break... A T-56 from a GTO or Camaro/Firebird should be able to handle it...

So should I go for the T-56 or decide on a brand new tremec? Im wondering what mods I will have to make to get a 6 speed in there, or will it bolt right up?

you will have to modify a few things not much though. A t-56 should handle the power just fine.

Well this made me happy Though mine is going to be stock and Im bolting up a turbo instead of the supercharger, Im happy to see some V8 HP potential out of this motor.

Awesome article! Damn, 500 hp out of the 4.3L Wee Six? Nice. But then again, that motor was built pretty well...and they blew a head gasket at 12 psi. I say clean up the heads on your motor, do a cam, MSD ignition, bored TB, efans, and keep the boost at 10 psi--and you'll be money!

I also found a place that sells crate motors but they have a 4.5 stroker build that looks nice. If I blow it, 2K gets me another. Im liking the "small but packs a punch concept" right now.
