Alarm Question

Now that my truck has been broken into twice now, I think its time to start looking into an aftermarket alarm setup. The factory alarm just isnt cutting it, and Id rather not have to replace my system every year!!

So what alarm system are some of you running? What are your likes or dislikes?
I like the idea of a keyless entry remote and pager to replace my factory keyfob. I just havnt researched this before and would like some first hand experiences.

what you do is, leave your window open and wait in a hidden spot with a rifle. Install a radio, with it unplugged and easy to yank. When the fag yanks it out, BOOOM!!! killing spree. naw go with a well know company and dont pinch pennies.

Viper alarms are about the best you can get. IMO

I have the autopage 1000 and I love it because it will page u up to 1 mile away if something happens to your truck

Get a viper Alarm i heard is good.

I've always had good luck with Compustar and Scosche. I have to agree that Viper is getting their S. H. I. T. together with their systems.

BTW, with Compustar you can hide a Computrack module to follow your vehicle on the internet. It's moreless a GPS............LOL Hello thief!!!

Might have to get one for my truck, my alarm is ok, but I need a tracking device for it.

I havnt made up my mind yet, Ive been trying to do as much research as posible.

I like the idea of GPS tracking though....

i currently use an autopage system. Works well on PAGEing you if your system is tripped.

In addition to a remote start, internal Movement/vibration, and glass break options, I have a mercury switch inside the lid on my external toolbox on one of the open inputs on the alarm. Has worked well.

Regardless of what system you get, if you are having problems w/ people going through your back window like I have, You could put a hood pin switch to your tale gate. If that still doesn't provide you enough piece of minde...Recommend you get an additonal 80-115db siren for inside the cab that runs on a seperate power supply. It doesn't take much to kill an alarm if there is only 1 power supply.
