    Used off Ebay

My future swap to the lq9 from the lr4 looks really expensive.. mainly I fear getting an engine from ebay. The whole fact I don't see it before I buy it. They are way way cheaper than reman'd engine.

What do I need to watch for in getting the lq9, well any engine from ebay?

Nice to know too, any benefits to buying used over a reman? Not really looking to have to rebuild either.. cost to freaking much.

Where are you located? Try this place: Snyder's 1-800-460-8025 ext 115, Mike will find you something with low miles.

Or just get another lr4 for 200-500 and then use some of the money you were gonna put towards a 6.0 and get it worked over at a shop. Or just buy a ls1 bare block and get all the internals and such seperate to build a power house. However I have no clue how much engine work costs. Input from the more knowledgable???

Just my .02, I bought a 350 for my old S10 Blazer off Ebay. Pics looked good and claimed to have ~35K miles. I got it and it turned out to be a boat anchor. Even looked like they had dragged it off the bottom of a lake. I know different sellers are vastly different, but personally, lesson learned.

It's not too bad, but I will tell you that I am currently thinking of taking a $10k loan from the bank and getting a 6.0 block and letting a shop have there way with it for $5-6k. getting a built 4l80 or t-56. I really would like to have 550 to the rear N/A then i'd start worrying about traction.
