You are right! I was looking in the parking lot at work today and it seems like the 1/2 ton bumper cap will work perfectly. It still will be tight around the grill but it should do the trick. Thanks for the tip.

I'm not sure. I like the dark metallic gray that i've seen on some other gmc's. Plus there are so many bad ass trucks on this forum with good colors. It will be hard to decide.

Got the alignment done today and the service guy said that if he hadn't of seen the white panels he wouldn't have known it was in a wreck. Frame looked awesome and the truck aligned perfectly. I barely met my goal of finishing by Sept 20, 2008. I will find a bumper cap within the next month or so and I will probably paint it next summer. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. Here is the final morph until i get new paint and wheels!

I'm gonna sell whatever I can off the junk silverado then take the rest to the metal recyclers. Hopefully I can recoup some of my money from the silverado.

What do you mean when you say bumper horn? There are six bolts that hold the bumper on. Four under the grill and two on the sides. But I don't think there is anything to replace on the frame. There are specific brackets for each bumper but they aren't interchangeable.
