    newbie from big arkansas

ran across this site a few weeks ago and im addicted to it.. awesome site!! ive got a 2000 silverado. not a whole lot done too it. cowl hood, rims, true dual magnaflow exhaust, superchip programmed. and lil odds and ends like tinted windows and stereo.. got plans of an ls6 intake swap and really like the idea of a different tranny as well as body mods like the 01 HD grille and bumper and everything shaved clean. does anyone know if a cowl hood on these trucks will clear a wiper cowl??just wonderin cuz i dont wanna buy one and it not clear..and i dont know anyone with one to try.

Welcome to LS1truck--yeah, we all know how addicting it is!!! Nice truck BTW. An LS6 intake swao is a good choice, but better for the smaller, lighter trucks--not big 4WD trucks like yours. The LS6 intake flows better than the truck intake--but only at stupid-high RPMs.

But as for your question--Yes, it will clear the wiper cowl, but if you put a cowl hood on, you will not be able to pull your wipers out the utmost standing point--like when you wash your windshield at the gas station and you prop the wipers up...yeah---can't do that with a cowl hood. You can pull them up a few inches--but not all the way.

thanks txarkitekt, ive already got cowl hood on it.and it does interfere with pulling wiper blades up. but i think if i put a wiper cowl on it, it would really set it off.. and thanx for the intake advice. everyone on here is a tremendous help!
