    ls7 swap?

    Just wondering if anyone on here has dropped a ls7 in their truck. Also, would I need all new accessories or would the ones from my 4.8 work on it? I've been thinkin of doing this but it won't be for quite a few months then I'll have about 10k to work with. Will the PCM work if I get it reflashed? Will I need a new wiring harness or will mine work. I figure if I need little parts that I don't have on my engine already I can start purchasing them in advance. Help? Ohh, and my tranny and rear end will bb changed out aswell

    The CKP's work differently and the reluctors don't interchange. I'm sure there are other issues. I heard about an LS7 into GTO swap that was pretty rough. A truck will be tougher.

    $10K won't be enough.

    There was a guy that did that into his red truck. I know he is a member on here, and on pt.net. Cant remember his name though

    Yeah, I know 10k would be a lil on the short side, but I won't have access to that for another year or so. I figure by that time more people will have bit it in their vette's so I might me able to get one for a lil less than what they're goin for now. What if I found one that was a "turn key" setup with the PCM and then got someone to make a wiring harness for my truck? I'm new to swapping sorry if these are rediculous questions.
