A few questions on the OBS swap

I am about to acquire a 89 RCSB silverado. I has no motor/trans etc. Just a rolling body and interior. I am wanting to do a 5.3 swap. Which 5.3 should I get? I need to get the entire setup right? o2 sensors, pcm, tranny, headers, etc... I know I need to get a sanden 508 compressor, new motor mounts and fuel pump. What else do I need? trans cooler? etc?

I'd recommend a 2002 or later complete motor and tranny pullout. Yes you can add a tranny cooler, electric fans, fuel pump and wiring harness unless you decide to mod the factory harness. If you have the money go for the LS1 or LS2 for gas mileage and horsepower. You can use your factory motor mounts but you'll have to buy or make adapter plates for them.

BTW, if you post on the weekends sometimes it takes a little time to get answers. You aren't being ignored.

    I don't want a ls1 or ls2. I'll consider a 6.0 later down the road. This moment in time i'll just get a 5.3.

With all the parts I have to buy - fittings, fan, fuel pump, etc misc stuff. How much money am I looking at?

5.3, maybe $3000 to $4500 total if the 5.3 is under $1500. It moreless depends on how fancy you want it to look and what performance components you decide to add like headers.
