A lot of people do not agree with the notion of spending thousands of dollars to buy a DD when they could use that to buy gas for their V8. True, it would probably take years to offset the expenditure, but I see it as not only saving gas, but it keeps miles and wear and tear off the truck. To everyone their own...

[size=2]I got the ceramic coated Pacesetters with the 3" ORY. You can find some really good deals on them

]online. I know that there has been a thread started that talks about finding Pacesetters at the cheapest price. I had 3 bolt flanges welded onto the ends of the collectors of the headers and at the front of the ORY so that if I needed to take them on and off again, it wouldn't be as hard as trying to disconnect them at the joints. After thousands of hot and cold cycles, the exhaust plumbing almost kind of welds itself together, making it a PITA to get off.
If you think about it...there really is no way to have a 700+ hp truck and drive it every day and not pay an arm and a leg for gas...everyday.

As for the headers...this is kinda an odd question but...i know they will fit on my 5.3L but if I buy them for the 5.3 they will direct swap over to the LS1 right?? As for the ceramic vs. painted...how big if any is the difference in power and sound?

The Pacesetters will work on any LS motor, pretty much: 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, etc.

There is no difference in sound between the two. Since you are in AZ, you don't need the ceramic coated ones. You could get away with the painted ones cause your climate is so damn dry. You can even paint them with a high-temp paint to whatever color you want them...

I live up by the Deer Valley airport, off the 101 and 7th Ave.

Oh, and I got the GTO as a DD because of the gas mileage.

Just kidding. I got it because my truck is broken all the time.

Well at least you have a purpose for it...

Soooooo speaking of your broken truck.....would there be any way that you would be willing to part with your tail lights?...that is if they are still the stock ones. I have been searching and searching for a set and the cheapest ones I have found are at a junk yard an are like $70 per!! If ANYONE knows where I can get a set for a good price place steer me towards it!

Haha nope, I paid $80 for my set. The 03+ lights are expensive. If you're looking for the 99-02 lights you should be able to find a set by posting in the classifieds on any of the truck sites....I tried to sell my stockers after I took them off and I couldn't give them away. I finally let them go for free at a swap meet a few years ago.

Tell me about it!!! I hate the plain flat style of the 99-02's thats why im lookin for the 03 style...I wanna keep it looking as close to stock as possible so when people in their little toy s**t box cars try to race me they never know what hit them...
I just found some today on eBay for 115 for the set so Im thinkin about picking them up but the auction doesnt end for another 5 days.
